Terms of Service

Kestrel is published by Matteo Midena EI, a French sole proprietorship (Entrepreneur individuel (micro-entreprise)), SIRET 929 483 030 00011, 14 rue de Moscou, 75008 Paris, France. VAT not applicable (French VAT franchise, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). See our legal notice.

Kestrel helps you search for jobs at startups: a job board with match scores, application tracking from Gmail, an AI assistant, resume and portfolio tools, and drafting and sending outreach emails you approve. Job listings come from companies' public hiring pages; we don't guarantee that any listing is accurate, still open, or that you'll be hired.

You need to be at least 16 years old and give accurate information. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to it secure and tell us if you suspect misuse.

• New accounts receive 30 one-time trial credits. Paid plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits (500 on Basic, 1,500 on Pro), which resets each month and does not roll over. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing section and may change with notice before your next renewal.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and isn't refunded, except under the withdrawal right below or where the law requires it.
• Withdrawal right. If you are a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason, by writing to hello@kestreljobs.com. Because you ask for the service to start immediately, we refund what you paid minus an amount proportional to the time elapsed before you withdrew. Refunds are made within 14 days to your original payment method.
• For annual plans, we remind you by email of the renewal date and of your right not to renew, between three months and one month before it.
• When credits run out, AI features pause until your next refill; your existing content stays available.

Emails you send through Kestrel are sent from your own account and on your behalf, and you are responsible for them. To protect recipients, sending is capped (currently 15 a day on Basic and 40 on Pro) and every message includes an easy way to opt out. You agree not to:

• send spam, misleading or harassing messages, or contact people who have opted out;
• misrepresent who you are or your experience;
• scrape, resell or bulk-export data from the service;
• attempt to break, overload or bypass the security or limits of the service;
• use the service in breach of any law or of Google's terms for Gmail.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

You own what you upload and create (resumes, portfolio content, messages). You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, including publishing your portfolio if you choose to. You confirm you have the right to share what you upload.

AI-generated text (match explanations, resume suggestions, drafts, answers) can be wrong or incomplete. Review it before relying on it or sending it. Nothing produced by Kestrel is legal, financial or career advice from a professional.

Connecting Gmail, Google sign-in, GitHub and Stripe means their own terms also apply. How we handle Google data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Kestrel isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by contract.

You can stop using Kestrel and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end or suspend the service for you if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, and we'll give notice where reasonable.

We'll notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Questions or complaints? Write to hello@kestreljobs.com. If we can't resolve a dispute, consumers can refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator named in the CGV. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of residence.
